Outreach

Atona reaches out for you.

Atona can send emails, texts, and calls on your behalf — from your own assistant identity, in your voice, with the context of every prior conversation.

In this guide: how outreach is different from auto-reply, the dedicated identity, the tone Atona uses, and what it will and won't do without asking.

What it does

Outreach is initiation, not just response. When you ask Atona to introduce someone, follow up on a thread, confirm a plan, or place a call, it does so from your dedicated assistant email, phone number, and WhatsApp number — never your personal ones — and threads everything into one history you can read.

Tone adapts to the relationship. Warm for family. Casual for friends. Formal for investors. Atona learns your voice from how you've written before, then adjusts for who's on the other end.

You're always copied. Every email Atona sends on your behalf CCs you. Every text comes through to your phone. Nothing happens behind your back — you have a parallel record of every word, the moment it goes out.

Try saying

Anything you'd ask a real assistant to handle for you.

"

Intro me to Alex at Studio Co — coffee next week.

"

Follow up with the design team about the timeline.

"

Confirm dinner with the Chens for Friday at 7.

"

Call Le Bernardin and book a table for two on Saturday.

"

Tell Mom I'll be late — maybe 6:30 instead of 6.

"

Check in with Sarah — it's been two weeks since we talked.

How it works

1

Tell Atona who, and why

In plain language. The contact, the goal, the tone you want. Atona fills in the rest from your memory and your calendar.

2

Atona drafts and sends

From your assistant email or phone number. Tone adapts to the relationship. The message identifies itself as your assistant — never as you. You're CC'd on every email and forwarded every text, so you see what went out the moment it goes out.

3

It handles the back-and-forth

Replies come into Atona. It schedules, confirms, and proposes alternatives. You see updates in your morning brief — and immediately if something needs you.

4

Everything is remembered

The whole conversation joins your one cross-channel memory, ready for the next time you talk to that person.

What you control

Choose the tone

Warm, neutral, formal, or playful. Set it per contact or per outreach.

Review before sending

Queue any outbound message for your approval — once, for a topic, or always.

"Never contact" list

People Atona must always escalate to you instead of reaching out.

Follow-up limits

Cap how many times Atona will follow up with the same person on the same thread.

Always copied

You're CC'd on every email and forwarded every text Atona sends on your behalf. Always on, can't be disabled.

What Atona will not do

Common questions

Does Atona say it's an AI?

Yes. Atona identifies itself as your assistant, not as you. The first message to anyone new always introduces itself.

What if someone asks to talk to me directly?

Atona escalates and lets you know — in your morning brief if it can wait, immediately if it can't.

Can it actually make outbound phone calls?

Yes. For confirmations, reservations, follow-ups, and routine logistics. You get a transcript and summary afterwards.

Does the recipient see my real number?

No. They see your dedicated assistant phone number or WhatsApp number — separate from your personal ones. Your personal contacts stay personal.

How does it learn my tone?

From how you've written in the past, plus the standing preferences you've taught it ("warm with family, formal with investors"). You can also override the tone for any specific outreach.

How do I know what Atona has sent?

You're CC'd on every email and forwarded every text Atona sends on your behalf, the moment it goes out. You can also browse the full outreach history any time, threaded into your one cross-channel memory. Nothing happens behind your back.
